In this online program, you’ll learn to incorporate an array of integrative medicine principles into your practice while diving into nutrition’s role in patient health. The MSHS Nutrition Concentration fulfills the academic requirements to become a Certified Nutrition Specialist (CNS). Registered Dietitian Nutritionists (RDNs) can use their RDN supervised practice to sit for the exam immediately upon graduation.

This course focuses on food technology processes and the health benefits of foods beyond macronutrients and micronutrients — namely phytochemicals and the gut microbiome.
This course explores the immunoregulatory and immune-related nutrients (focusing on micronutrients) and will help you develop a basic understanding of the immune system, enabling you to identify nutritional risk factors.
During this course, you will explore intermediary metabolism with an emphasis on the interrelationship of nutrients, metabolic pathways, health, and disease. This course also examines dietary inputs from molecular, biochemical, and integrative perspectives.
